An ongoing research project

Nadin Reschke and Oda Projesi are working on a project at Tarabya Cultural Academy that explores the effects of the pandemic on women. They held 4 workshops and a home visit by raising a series of questions on post-pandemic normalization, sharing of care work, support and solidarity mechanisms, invisible domestic labor, and new strategies that women found during the pandemic. With the contribution of the women participating in the workshops, they intend to continue their project with many new topics and questions. At the same time, pieces from the process of the Words to Spin project, which have come so far, can be seen at Müze Gazhane, with the invitation of the newspaper Anne(x), a printed publication by Oda Projesi produced for the 17th İstanbul Biennial.

Words to Spin was created with the support of Tarabya Cultural Academy in the frame of the German-Turkish Coproduction scholarships of the Goethe-Institut, the Federal Foreign Office and Allianz-Kulturstiftung.
