Negar Farajiani, trained as a painter, photographer, and graphic designer, works as an artist and curator at the intersection of different media. In her works she plays with the concept of private and public space and is one of the few artists in Iran who has created public works of art, including the Tehran Monoxide Project, Made in China, and Destination Known. Farajiani increasingly focuses on collaborating with other artists and on participatory actions. Her work has been presented in Iran and abroad. Her recent exhibitions have been at DEPO Istanbul, the 8th Tehran National Sculpture Biennale, and the Artissima Art Fair, Turin.
