On November 16, former Tarabya Cultural Academy resident Stefan Goldmann will perform at the Noise Istanbul Festival organized by Borusan Sanat. Tickets for the event are available on passo.com.tr.

Stefan Goldmann develops music that derives from the formal foundations of techno: grid, sample and loop are concretized to their limits, enabling novel designs. His works range from electronic tracks to full-length compositions for music theater, ensembles, dance or film. Since 2020, he has curated Strom – the festival for electronic music at the Philharmonie Berlin.

The Noise Istanbul Festival is dedicated to Noise music, bringing artists from this multi-layered musical genre to the stage. Noise music has close ties to electronic, industrial, experimental and improvised music, as well as performance, installation, video, and sound art. Due to its progressive approach, it stands at the very beginning of the history of electronic music and is at the same time the end point of contemporary music.

Stefan Goldmann entwickelt Musik, die sich aus den formalen Grundlagen von Techno ableitet: Raster, Sample und Loop werden bis an ihre Grenzen konkretisiert, was neuartige Gestaltungen ermöglicht. Seine Werke reichen von elektronischen Tracks bis zu abendfüllenden Kompositionen für Musiktheater, Ensembles, Tanz oder Film. Seit 2020 kuratiert er Strom – das Festival für elektronische Musik der Philharmonie Berlin.

Das Noise Istanbul Festival widmet sich der Noise-Musik und bringt Kunstschaffende aus diesem vielschichtigen Musikgenre auf die Bühne. Die Noise-Musik weist enge Verbindungen zu elektronischer, industrieller, experimenteller, improvisierter und weiteren Musikgenres sowie zu Performance, Installation, Video und Klangkunst auf. Aufgrund ihres progressiven Ansatzes steht sie ganz am Anfang der Geschichte der elektronischen Musik und ist gleichzeitig der Endpunkt der zeitgenössischen Musik.
