Özlem Sarıyıldız, an award-winning filmmaker, visual artist, and editor with twenty years of hands-on experience, loves listening to people and is fascinated by willfulness stories. She studied Industrial Design (BA), Media and Cultural Studies (MS) at METU and was a research assistant at University McGill, Montréal, with the Jeanne Sauvé scholarship between 2004-2005. Her films call for disloyalty to what is ‘wrong’ and refuse to look away from what was looked over. She is the artistic co-director of the Berlin-based HIER&JETZT:Connections Artists Residency Program since 2020. She lives in Berlin.
