
Till Passow
Till Passow, born in Munich in 1968, studied film and television directing at the Babelsberg Film University. His graduation project Mast Qalandar (Der Ekstatische) was shown at 54 international film festivals and received twelve awards, including the Lola of the Culture Ministry of the BRD and the Golden Gate Award of the IFF San Francisco. His numerous short films , which he has produced as a creative producer, have been screened at international festivals, including Sundance, Locarno, CPH:DOX and Palm Springs International ShortFest; won the Vanguard Award at the San Francisco International Festival of Short Films; and been nominated for the American Film Institute Docs Award and the International Documentary Award. In 2012, 2014 and 2017, he was a jury member of the Peace Film Award of the IFF Berlinale. Passow lives in Berlin and regularly holds short film workshops worldwide as a university lecturer.
Till Passow was a resident at the Tarabya Cultural Academy from Februray to May 2022.

Till Passow 1968’de Münih’te dünyaya geldi; Filmuniversität Babelsberg’de film ve televizyon yönetmenliği öğrenimi gördü. Aynı zamanda okul bitirme tezi de olan Mast Qalandar (Der Ekstatische) başlıklı çalışması 54 uluslararası film festivalinde gösterildi; aralarında Almanya Kültür Bakanlığı Lola ve IFF San Francisco Golden Gate Award ödüllerinin de bulunduğu toplamda on iki ödül aldı. Creative Producer olarak gerçekleştirdiği çok sayıda belgesel, Sundance, Locarno, CPH:DOX, Palm Springs International ShortFest gibi uluslararası festivallerde izleyiciyle buluştu, American Film Institute Docs Award ve International Documentary Award ödüllerine aday gösterildi. 2012, 2014 ve 2017 yıllarında IFF Berlinale Friedensfilmpreis ödülü jürisinde bulunan Till Passow, tüm dünyada düzenli olarak ders veriyor ve kısa film atölyeleri gerçekleştiriyor. Passow Berlin’de yaşamaktadır.
Till Passow Şubat ile Mayıs 2022 tarihlerin arasında Tarabya Kültür Akademisinde konuk sanatçısı olarak bulundu.

Seine Abschlussarbeit Mast Qalandar (Der Ekstatische) wurde auf 54 internationalen Filmfestivals gezeigt und erhielt zwölf Auszeichnungen, darunter die Lola des Kulturstaatsministeriums der BRD und den Golden Gate Award des IFF San Francisco. Seine zahlreichen als Creative Producer produzierten Kurzfilme wurden auf internationalen Festivals, wie Sundance, Locarno, CPH:DOX, Palm Springs International ShortFest gezeigt, haben u.a. den Vanguard Award beim San Francisco International Festival of Short Films gewonnen und waren nominiert für den American Film Institute Docs Award und den International Documentary Award. 2012, 2014 und 2017 war er Jurymitglied des Friedensfilmpreises des IFF Berlinale. Till Passow gibt weltweit als Dozent regelmäßig Kurzfilmworkshops und lebt in Berlin.
Till Passow war von Februar bis Mai 2022 Stipendiat der Kulturakademie Tarabya.
