Elisabetta Lanfredini

Elisabetta Lanfredini is an Italian singer, performer, composer, researcher, sound/video artist based in Berlin. She studied ethnomusicology and jazz singing/improvisation at the Conservatory of Music in Bologna. Voice in its broadest sense is the essence of her work that addresses oral heritage, cultural identity and migration, capitalist motherhood, symbols and disruptions of contemporary society. She performs on international stages such as CTM-Transmediale, Radio Deutschlandfunk Kultur, DAAD Berlin, Share-Improve European project and she received grants and scholarships from Gema, Musikfonds/NeuKulturStart programs and Goethe-Institut. She works assiduously with experimental voice groups within the “Rambling Voices” idea, which she has led since 2019.

Elisabetta Lanfredini was a resident from February to May 2023 at Tarabya Cultural Academy.
