Mohamed Amjahid
Mohamed Amjahid was born in Frankfurt am Main in 1988 as the son of so-called guest workers and attended school in Morocco until he graduated from high school. He studied political science and anthropology in Berlin and Cairo. He already worked as a journalist during his studies, including for taz, Frankfurter Rundschau and Deutschlandfunk. After completing his Master’s degree, he completed a traineeship at the Tagesspiegel in Berlin and then worked as a political reporter for Die Zeit. He conducts investigative research and writes as a freelance journalist for Spiegel, WDR and Süddeutsche Zeitung, among others. Most recently, Piper Verlag published his books Der weiße Fleck. Eine Anleitung zum antirassistischen Denken (2021) and Let’s Talk About Sex, Habibi. Love and Desire from Casablanca to Cairo (2022).
