Sommer Festival 2025

The Tarabya Cultural Academy celebrated its annual Summer Festival for the sixth time on June 14, 2025. Alumni of the Academy and local artists transformed the German Ambassador’s summer residence into a stage for creative expression — through performance, music, and visual art.

This year’s Summer Festival featured works and contributions by Patrizia Bach, Kaan Bıyıkoğlu, Itamar Gov, Matthias Göritz, Natalie Greffel, Jasmin İhraç, Nalan Karacagil, Elif Sözer & Zeynep Özden, and caner teker. The diverse artistic program included, among other things, Patrizia Bach’s exhibition Past, Quotable in Each of Its Moments – The Example of Istanbul (since 2015), Elif Sözer and Zeynep Özden’s performative reading IVI BURADAYDI (IVI WAS HERE), a performative sound walk Treesounds with Jasmin İhraç in collaboration with VAHA HUBs, as well as additional concerts, readings, performances, and tours.

The festival brought together cultural practitioners from the local scene and representatives from Germany, creating spaces for cultural exchange.
