Till Passow

Till Passow, born in Munich in 1968, studied film and television directing at the Babelsberg Film University. His graduation project Mast Qalandar (Der Ekstatische) was shown at 54 international film festivals and received twelve awards, including the Lola of the Culture Ministry of the BRD and the Golden Gate Award of the IFF San Francisco. His numerous short films , which he has produced as a creative producer, have been screened at international festivals, including Sundance, Locarno, CPH:DOX and Palm Springs International ShortFest; won the Vanguard Award at the San Francisco International Festival of Short Films; and been nominated for the American Film Institute Docs Award and the International Documentary Award. In 2012, 2014 and 2017, he was a jury member of the Peace Film Award of the IFF Berlinale. Passow lives in Berlin and regularly holds short film workshops worldwide as a university lecturer.

Till Passow was a resident at the Tarabya Cultural Academy from Februray to May 2022.
